What’s the difference between using the barcode scanner and scanning an ingredient list?
What’s the difference between using the barcode scanner and scanning an ingredient list?
- The barcode scanner pulls food product information from a database with hundreds of thousands of food products. While this makes scanning quick and easy, the product’s label is still determined by evaluating each individual ingredient in the product.
- The ingredient list scanner is an alternative option for food products that may not yet be in our database. Instead of pulling product data, it reads the food product's ingredient list you scan and determines the product’s label based solely on those ingredients.

Lifestyle Approved
This applies after your goals are met. As you complete Challenges and transition into the Livingood Lifestyle, you’ll begin focusing on the Lifestyle Approved food list, which allows for a bit more flexibility while still supporting long-term, sustainable health.
