Simple BBQ Brisket

Total Time: 4-6 Hours in a slow cooker

Serves: 2-4

  • ~2-pound beef brisket
  • BBQ sauce with no added sugars (good brands: Tessamae, Primal Kitchen, etc)
  • Seasoning of choice (salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc)

Put the brisket in a slow cooker with approximately ½-1 inch of water or just enough to cover the bottom. Add the desired seasoning and cook 4-6 hours on high or until cooked through and tender. Drain any liquid. Add the BBQ sauce (start with half of the bottle) and pull the meat apart and mix in with bbq sauce, or you can slice the brisket and pour BBQ sauce on top. Can make into brisket sandwiches (watch buns for bad oils or added sugars) or serve as is.
