Red Lobster Biscuits

  • 2 cups spelt flour (or can try using a gluten free flour)
  • 1 cup organic cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ⅓ cup coconut oil or organic butter, melted
  • ¾ cup hot water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • 2 tbsp parsley, finely chopped

 

In a bowl, mix all dry ingredients. In a small bowl, whisk water, egg and coconut oil or butter. Pour into the dry ingredient mix and stir until mixed together well. If the dough is too dry you can add a tiny bit of water or butter until it's mixed well. Do not over mix. Fold in the shredded cheese and parsley. Drop biscuit sized dough balls onto a parchment paper-lined baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees F for approximately 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and top with toppings of choice.
