Swelling, Stiffness, And Pain Gone!
I'm the sole caretaker for my husband, who has Alzheimer's, and my time and energy are mostly taken up with his care. Still, felt my energy flagging and inflammation creeping up, and know this will hinder my ability to take good care of him, so making changes in my diet and activity level is necessary. I'm not weighing and have only measured my waist (HOW did it expand to this dimension???). The first week was devoted to getting the sugar out of my diet and disciplining myself to cook all our meals and snacks. Next goal, locating and buying organic meats and veggies. Also, since today is the start of week 3 for me, I've added in walking the dog early mornings to add another movement element. It seems nuts to me that I have to work up to a regular exercise routine, since my career was as a dance teacher and gymnastics coach. Life is funny. So far, the results of these efforts is that the swelling in my ankles is pretty much gone, the stiffness in my hips is gone, and best of all, most of the pain and swelling in my right knee is gone. Today, the plan is to find some steps to walk down to test the knee. Also today, my order of Collagen Sweets is being delivered! Yay! Thanks to all for the encouragement posted here it is so much appreciated!
