Long post warning: Hi yall! I'm Sheila and I've been following DLG for a while now, but jumped in and got committed on January first this year! This is so hard for me to show because I hate pictures of myself, but I hope it will inspire someone who may be new, or just need a nudge of motivation. The picture on the left was me this past Christmas. That me was EXHAUSTED! I could barely walk up my porch steps, stand up from sitting without pain. Couldn't walk very far without getting short of breath. And to me, exercise was out of the question. There's no way I could have walked for 30 mins to an hour. My legs were swollen, I wasn't strong enough either. I had flashing in my eyes in the dark. (That's now gone!) I was depressed for lack of a better word. All the things I wanted to do, my body wouldn't let me. Thad had enough! I determined that with the new year I would jump back in. Stay committed and give myself a year to work this lifestyle. I did just that. In fact I did even more than I thought I would. I usually didn't eat breakfast anyway, so I always fasted intermittently. Now I found myself only wanting one meal a day. After the first week, the sugar withdrawal was done and I hurt less. By the end of the first challenge I lost 22 Ibs and I was power walking across parking lots! Yall, I'm still a big girl and I was feeling like I could MOVE!! I started participating in life more. I found myself saying "I CAN" more, instead of "I can't." I have only missed a handful of workouts between the 2 challenges so far this year. That says a lot for me. Now when I go to the grocery store, instead of having my husband drop me at the door, I have him drop me at the back of the lot and I get a buggy and power walk to the store and back out and he meets me at the same place to pick me up! Lol I haven't had sugar in 57 days now. I have lost a total of 32 Ibs since Jan 1st! And 29.75inches since Crew 53 started. I obviously still have a ways to go, but feeling the way I do, I know I'm going to make it and am excited to see what the rest of the year will bring. Oh and my blood pressure is back to normal and my heart doesn't race anymore! I am now going to spend this Challenge working toward the advanced metabolism reset, which means I've only just started yall! My goals this challenge are: Continue consistent 10 min workouts(I'm now up to the ab bonus and stretching) Continue getting my water in Continued fasting (I fasted yesterday) Finishing the liver cleanse. Working the first month menu plan for the reset. (which means I now have to eat more than I'm used to lol) And more! 2 months yall! If you think you have to reach your goals to feel better and get stronger, you don't! It can happen for you NOW! Let's make Crew 54 the best one yet yall! We got this!
